Direct-to-the-Pack

Your packaging
becomes a channel
with your buyers.

The code already printed on the pack opens a channel with the buyer. They talk to hacKa, confirm the purchase with the receipt and get benefits from your brand.

Barcodes, QR and Digital Link

The barcode is read by the hackthepack scanner. An existing QR can lead to the same channel when the brand controls its destination or redirect. Compatible with GS1 Digital Link.

How many packs
does your brand put
into the world?

The pack already reaches the bathroom, the kitchen, the handbag. The invitation gives a reason to enter. The experience gives a reason to come back.

Consumer Intelligence · Direct-to-the-Pack

For the first time, proprietary data from the people holding your product: clean, structured, consented. It feeds the consumer intelligence panel hackthepack builds, product by product. Yours, not rented.

PREMISE / Explore a hypothesis
10.000
Simulation · conversations per year

Each conversation is a data point owned by your brand, clean, with the consent of the person who took part.

Simulation: one participation per engaged pack. Not unique people, sales or a forecast. The pilot measures the observed rate.

What happens today with each of them

Every pack that leaves the factory is a conversation that never happens. Retail keeps the customer. The platform keeps the data. And the brand pays media to find the people who already bought.

01

Rented data is over

Cookies, lookalikes, platform audiences. Without your own data you buy attention at whatever price the platform sets, every month, again.

02

The one touchpoint you already pay for and never use

The pack is already printed, distributed and in the hands of the buyer. It is the channel that exists and does not speak yet.

03

Whoever opens it first keeps the relationship

In your category, the first brand to speak through the pack owns the conversation with the buyer.

The math

You subscribe per product, per month. You get a live channel: nationwide, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in real time, inside the home of the person who bought.

Which media vehicle delivers anything close? None. It is not a campaign. It is infrastructure. The channel belongs to the brand; so the data belongs to the brand, with the consent of the people who take part. The channel stays open as long as the pack exists. The intelligence it generates stays with those who continue. The barcode is a global door. Operations start in Brazil.

No middlemen. The brand talks directly to the people who bought.

03 / The pains we address

Three industry pains.
Three answers.

What every brand manager feels, and what hackthepack delivers for each one. Explicit, so you can take it to your team.

Pain 1

You do not know
who buys.

Retail keeps the customer. The platform keeps the data. The brand keeps the retailer's sales report.

Answer: the data is yours, from the people who bought, with consent. Who takes part, by product, city and period, and the base of those who authorised contact, delivered straight into your CRM. Rented from no one.

Pain 2

You pay media to find
the people who already bought.

Every month, again, at whatever price the platform sets, to reach people who already have the product at home.

Answer: the channel on the pack speaks again to the buyer, with no media. A benefit on the next purchase, confirmed by the receipt.

Pain 3

You cannot ask
the person holding the product.

Research is a panel, it is later, it is memory. The moment of use goes by in silence.

Answer: one question at a time, answered with the product in hand, with points in return.

The pain behind the three

The customer relationship
stays with the store.

Answer: the receipt proves the purchase in any store, and the relationship becomes the brand's. The code is the door. Content and benefit give a reason to walk through it.

How people find out: a sticker, the point of sale or the brand's own channels. Brand and hackthepack define the call to action and the activation budget in the pilot.

The category

This is Direct-to-the-Pack: the pack as a direct channel between the brand and the people who bought.

No app, no sign-up, no media in between. The category hackthepack is opening.

Why now · AI to AI

When AI recommends,
your brand needs to be there.

The next search does not return a list of links. It returns an answer. When intelligences start recommending products, the brands with an intelligence of their own to be consulted get there first. hackthepack builds yours and places it inside every product: hacKa. The code opens the door. AI to AI.

What is included

hackthepack delivers the channel, hacKa with the approved product sheet, receipt confirmation, the panel, activation on packs and the founder at your side. The brand provides the product list, the reward rule, the legal copy and an internal owner. How consumers find out: the barcode that already exists, the QR you already print and an agreed call to action.

Timeline and evaluation

75 days from signature: up to 15 days to calibrate the channels with the brand, 60 days of live testing. The continuation criterion is the 30-day return rate, read in the panel.

Benefits, continuation and exit

The brand defines and funds the benefit, with value and cap; hackthepack confirms the purchase with the receipt and delivers the coupon. During the period the brand has access to everything the channel generated with participants' authorisation: the panel, data by product, city and period, and the base of those who authorised contact, delivered straight into its CRM. At the end it receives the report with the pilot's intelligence. On day 76 it continues on the ladder, at the same price per product. Cancel with 30 days' notice. What stays with the brand: the report, the data and the base received during the period, and the product channel live for the consumer with the approved sheet. What is no longer provided: the live panel, new answers and confirmations, and updates to the sheet.

Benefits and any activation costs are not part of the total above. Above 1,000 products, on request.

The consumer
Does the consumer need an app?

No. The scanner and the product experience open in the browser, at app.hackthepack.com. The person allows the camera, points it at the barcode and enters. It can be added to the phone home screen in a few taps.

Do I need to change the pack or print anything new?

No. The barcode already printed is the door. If the brand already prints a QR, it can lead to the same channel. Compatible with GS1 Digital Link. A call to action on the pack or at the point of sale helps people find out, and that is defined in the pilot.

hacKa
Who writes what hacKa answers?

The brand. hackthepack builds the product sheet from the label, leaflet, manual and official site, the brand reviews and approves, and only approved content goes live. hacKa answers from the content approved by the brand and is instructed to refer anything outside it to the official channel.

What if the consumer asks something outside the sheet?

hacKa says it does not know and points to the brand's official channel, such as customer service. Every unanswered question shows up in the panel and becomes a brand decision: add it to the sheet or not.

Purchase and data
How does the brand know the purchase was real?

Through the receipt. The person scans the receipt QR on their own phone, hackthepack checks the product and the date and confirms the purchase. The reward is released only after that. The receipt stays with the consumer; the brand gets the confirmation.

Does it work in any retailer?

Yes. The receipt proves the purchase in any store that issues an electronic receipt with a QR code, the standard in Brazilian retail, with no point-of-sale integration. The channel belongs to the brand, not the store.

What data does the brand get, and with what consent?

The panel with who took part, by product, city and period, the answers to questions and the confirmed purchases. And the base of those who authorised contact, delivered into the brand's CRM. Each data point has a switch the consumer turns on or off in the app, and they can download or delete everything. Privacy law (LGPD) end to end.

Does hackthepack use my brand's data for other brands?

No. The channel belongs to the brand and so does the data. hackthepack does not sell, share or cross your base with third parties.

The pilot
Who pays for the reward, and who sets the value?

The brand defines and funds the benefit, with value and cap. hackthepack confirms the purchase with the receipt and delivers the coupon into the consumer's My pack. The reward is not part of the subscription.

How long until it is live?

Up to 15 days after signature, to calibrate the sheets with the brand and approve the content. Then 60 days of live testing. The whole pilot runs 75 days.

Can I test with a single product?

Yes, on the 1-product tier of the ladder. We recommend between 6 and 20 products: that is the size where the panel starts to show a return pattern, and the price per product drops to R$ 890.

How do we measure success?

By what the panel shows: how many people came in, how many came back within 30 days, how many return scans were on the same product, how many answered the question and how many purchases were confirmed by the receipt. The continuation criterion agreed in the pilot is the 30-day return rate.
